Have you ever wondered how every grandpa is able to obtain and retain their seemingly impeccable headwear?
How on earth does each and every dome piece that sits atop a 65+ year old exude such a perfect fit and patina without fail.
Turns out it comes from years, nay, DECADES of wear and neglect – beautifully aging in complexity like a fine wine. I think about that sun-baked Korean War Veteran cap sitting on the dashboard of a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. Or that forgotten '87 Celtics/Lakers NBA Finals hat wedged in between the cushions of a very dark brown Bob-O-Pedic® Gliding Recliner only to miraculously emerge years later with matted miniature dachshund fur and Cheeto dust permanently embedded into the crown. And how could I sleep on the thought of that random local Pundmann Ford Dealership (shoutout St. Charles, Missouri) freebee trucker hat smashed into that Ben Hogan golf bag for years only to be pulled out like a frozen mummified shell of it's once former self.
