Duke is born and bred in London however Ghana is where he originally calls home. His entire mantra is simple; inspire others to ride the same way he was inspired to pick up a track bicycle and ride regardless of the boundaries set.
"When I first started riding I never thought that it would take me to the places I've been too. Nor did I think it would lead to me getting support from Godandfamous and MASHSF. I still can't quite believe that I'm being supported for riding my track bike! It just feels good to see the energy I put out there return full circle. Right now my main focus is to train hard and race/ride as much as possible. The feeling I get when I'm mashing with my friends though traffic is pretty much simultaneous to the feeling I get when racing! Nothing seems to beat going fast. My hopes for the future is to take Fixed Gear back home to Ghana and hopefully build a velodrome. Cycling is already picking up in my home city of Accra so why not introduce track bikes? And who knows, I might be able to put together an Olympic team. (dream team!)"
