Aftermath at Red Hook

Red Hook Crit 9 was interesting to say the least. With each year resulting in some form(s) of a crash, this year was no exception. Those that managed to come away clean from mechanical or physical issues in the multiple men's field starts were the lucky ones; they were the aftermath.

Seeing so many buddies banged up and injured (especially New York based ones) was not an easy thing to see. These dudes put in serious effort to train and prepare for this event and to get knocked out of the race even before it begins is tough.

Huge shout out to homeboy Tobias Lewis, rider for Dosnoventa/Attaquer for staying uninjured and sticking with the lead pack to pull an 11th position finish.

Colin Strickland of Allez Allez/Specialized ended up taking the cake with help of teammate Aldo Ilesic who created distance between Colin and the lead pack. Ivan Ravaioliof Cinelli Chrome took second with Aldo Ilesic taking third.
